The Women's Business Network, Lake of the Woods and Kenora held its first official meeting in September of 2001. The Network's mandate is
To achieve success in business and personal growth by connecting women with women.
The "Network" is made up of business and professional women as well as aspiring entrepreneurs. The membership fee for January 1 to December 31, 2002 is $60.00 (pro-rated for new members throughout the year). Non-members are encouraged to attend for a small fee.
The Network meets twice a month to offer educational presentations on topics relating to business and personal development, share best practices and to develop business relationships within the membership.
The meeting dates are somewhat flexible and generally fall first on a Wednesday, the next meeting on a thursday. In addition to business presentations, there are a number of social events.
The next big event takes place on May 25th with a Charity Golf Tournament at the Kenora Golf & Country Club. Non-members are encouraged to participate. Call for more info.
